The short truth. GI JI is private by default. Your documents stay where you keep them, and the index, questions, learning notes, and backups GI JI builds sit in the GI JI folder. Optional network features are described below. We run no analytics inside the app and no GI JI account system.

Network activity to know about:

  1. Purchase & activation (Freemius). When you buy or activate, Freemius processes payment and license verification, including your name, email, purchase and transaction details, licence key, licence status, and a one-way device identifier. The seller can access customer and purchase records in Freemius; neither Freemius nor the seller receives your documents through this path.
  2. Connected AI (only if you turn it on). Setting up a key contacts OpenAI to list the models available to that account. Connected AI is off until you switch it on. Before it writes anything for you, GI JI stops, shows you what it wants to send, and waits for you to approve that one request. You can keep the API key for the current session or choose to remember it on this computer. A remembered key is stored in data/connected.json inside the GI JI folder, excluded from GI JI backups, and removed when you choose Forget this key. The writing traffic goes from your machine to OpenAI, not through GI JI Agency.
  3. Website imports (only when you request one). GI JI contacts the selected website, its robots instructions, and any redirects needed to fetch permitted pages. That website and its network providers receive ordinary request metadata such as your IP address, GI JI's user agent, and the requested URLs.
  4. Model downloads. Fetching local models (via your Ollama) contacts the model host to download files; no library content is sent.
  5. Support email. If you write to support@giji.agency we keep the correspondence.

Local workspace. GI JI Agency does not receive your local library, chat history, Rulebook, Working Knowledge, or backups through the local workflow. GI JI backups exclude the remembered API key and licence secrets. The app interface binds to the loopback address on your computer.

Website. giji.agency uses no third-party analytics script and sets no tracking cookie. Its hosting provider records ordinary server access logs, such as the requested page, time, IP address, and browser user agent. On the download page, fixed same-site one-pixel requests add bounded action labels for the page view, suggested or manually selected platform, and download, share, or copy button requests. A registered non-personal source tag from the page address may be repeated on that request. Those lines contain no GI JI account, person or persistent visitor identifier, and they do not prove that a download, installation, share, or purchase completed. The requests are best-effort, so their absence does not prove that no action occurred. GI JI may review aggregate reports from those logs in AWStats to understand visits and diagnose delivery.

Microsoft download route. The Microsoft Store badge image is requested from Microsoft after the page suggests Windows or you select Windows. That request gives Microsoft ordinary network metadata such as your IP address, browser user agent, and referring site. Choosing that route leaves giji.agency for Microsoft.

Checkout. Checkout happens on Freemius-hosted pages.

Your rights. For anything Freemius holds, such as purchase records, you may request access or deletion via us or Freemius. Data on your own computer is yours to delete directly. Removing the GI JI folder removes the workspace stored there; original source files, Ollama models, and browser data remain wherever those programs keep them.
